Airmid Natural Irish Handmade Skincare is a gorgeous range of natural soaps, shampoo bars and shaving accessories made right here in Ireland, using only the finest natural ingredients. The Airmid design is inspired by the rare and mystical landscape of the Burren. These natural products are handmade in Kilfenora, Co. Clare which is on Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Coast. Airmid is a small family run business, with all the products handmade by Kevin Lynch. All of the Airmid branding is designed inhouse by Kevin's partner, freelance graphic designer Tina on Tina Robinson Design. We love having this gorgeous range at My Cotton Drawer. Airmid are members of the Design & Craft Council of Ireland. Airmid exhibit their gorgeous Irish skincare range regularly at Craft Fairs and Shows throughout Ireland & The Netherlands.
Airmid was named after the Irish Celtic Goddess of Herbs and Healing to the Tuatha De Danann, Ireland's magical ancient tribe. The founder, Kevin, has suffered from severe eczema since birth. In 2009 after their second son was born with eczema they began the task of looking for a natural alternative to commercial chemical skin products. Kevin began making chamomile soap which is gentle enough even for the most sensitive skin. Kevin is also an organic horticulturist and they already had a garden full of medicinal herbs grown by organic methods. Dry soon the range grew to include their gorgeous array of products see today. Handmade soap is wonderful for your skin, because it contains the natural glycerin which occurs in the soap making process and leaves your skin silky smooth. Airmid only make their products by the traditional cold process method with minimal heat applied, keeping all the goodness of the ingredients in the final product. All bars are cut by hand and are cured for at least 6 weeks before sale to ensure a hard, high quality luxury product.
